NFPCC Conducts Analysis of Utility Industry Compensation

Recently NFPCC conducted an analysis on the compensation of publicly traded utility companies. We reviewed the total direct compensation of the Chief Execuitve Officer's compensation for 65 public utility companies between 2000-2011.  Overall, there was an increase of the median total direct compensation by approximately 278% from 2000-2011, showing a steady increase from 2000 to 2007, and a sharp drop in 2008.  The median total direct compensation in 2011 was approximately $5.3M for the CEO position.   You can see the data here.  The analysis has been in cited in the Houston Chronicle, Conneticut Post, EnergyBiz and MySanAntonio.com.
