2012 State of Executive Compensation | Special Edition

Every now and then, NFPCC feels compelled to send out what we term a Special Edition L-Blast. This is one of those times. There is no denying that executive compensation is under fire more than ever before. As a result, it is important that we continue to keep our constituents as up-to-date as possible. This edition of the L-Blast is extremely important and a must-read! It has taken well over a month to research and compile, but we believe the time and effort justify the results.

In NFPCC’s State of the State report below, there are many key issues discussed:

– 2011 Trends and 2012 Expectations in Executive Compensation,
– Dodd-Frank Act: Commentary and Expectations for 2012,
– Say-on-Pay: 2011 Conclusions and Action Steps for 2012,
– RiskMetrics (ISS): 2012 Changes and Commentary, and
– ISS FAQs.

For those of you that are private and/or even not-for-profit (NFP), there is still some very good information contained herein that should help you as you plan for 2012. Our private company and NFP work is at the highest level I have ever seen in 26 years, so sound planning is important for all companies!
